'Houses' is a reflective piece of balladry, a bittersweet song about the hardship of relationships. The original songwriter, Elyse Weinberg, was a tremendously gifted and overlooked Canadian folk musician and storyteller. Elyse sadly passed away in 2020.

I had the privilege of performing 'Houses' as a duet with the incredibly talented Eden McFadden. Our intent was to let Elyse's songwriting shine while adding a modern, East Coast flair. We hope to honour the legacy of one of Canada's great folk singers and ensure that her story and artistry won't be forgotten.

'Houses' was recorded at Crabbe Road Productions in Prince Edward Island and engineered by Sergey Varlamov. The song features additional instrumental performances from Nicholas LeBlanc (bass), Garrett Sherwood (Drums), Brooke Foster (Guitar), and Sergey Varlamov (Guitar & Organ).
